RESPITE CARE AND CARER SUPPORT SERVICES
Mac Retreat has the opportunity to offer respite care and carer support services to support carers' and family needs. We have a team of very caring professional people, whom have all been involved in various aspects of care. We can currently offer a minimum of three hours care to support the carer, provide personal care assistance, assist with child minding, entertain and access local activities and/or be a companion.
We do NOT offer 24/7 care at this stage but may this may change in the future
The retreat is wheelchair accessible and very spacious. If you require any aids please discuss with us and we can see if we can obtain these locally. The kitchen is self-contained so it is easy to do your own catering or you can access the local cafes and shops. There is a large spa pool and therapy room offering a variety of therapeutic services (please refer to our services to view) that you can access and gain that feeling of rejuvenation and relaxation while you stay.
Our aim is to be flexible and creative in meeting guests needs so please contact us to discuss what you need and we will see how we can best cater for you.
Some clients have used their Carer Support allowances from the Ministry of Health to pay for their respite stay. This has been very easy to complete and finalise payments for all concerned. Please do not hesitate to phone us for any questions you may have.
COSTS (GST inc. $NZ)
We provide a minimum of 3 hours care at $50.
Per additional hour $15
