Therapeutic Services at Mac Retreat

Spa Pool – Our spa pool is chlorine and chemical free. We cleanse the water through using a natural silver process. The spa pool can be used solely for its own purpose or used in conjunction with other therapies for half an hour before or after treatment.

$15 for half hour soak.

Therapeutic Massage  - A full body therapeutic massage to meet your individual needs.  Includes relaxation and therapeutic techniques to help relieve stress, muscle tensions and injuries.

$70 for one hour

$105 for one and a half hours.

Aromatherapy massage  – A full body massage inclusive of aromatherapy oils blended for your specific needs.

$80 for 1 hr.
$120 for 1.5 hrs.

Hot Stone Massage  – Using and combining hot stones with massage in various ways, bringing fast relief to stiff, sore muscles and aches and pains and elevating a deep sense of relaxation.

$110 for 1.5 hrs

La Stone Massage - Using and combining hot and cold stones with massage in various ways.  Allows a vigourous response within the visceral system and helps promote a sense of aliveness to the body as well as an opportunity for deep relaxation.

Reflexology – A foot massage which helps assist relaxation and can be used as a diagnostic tool to access the condition of your overall health.

$70 for 1 hr

Gentle Energy Work – Including soft rocking and stretching, in order to release energy blocks and bring awareness to subtle sensations - very relaxing!

Spa Wraps - These wraps are made from NZ ingredients , hand picked for their nutritional and detoxifying qualities. You will firstly have a choice of a scrub to help eliminate toxins and prepare your skin for either a clay, mud, herbal or seaweed wrap warmed and smoothed all over your body. You are then wrapped to keep warm and let the magic begin. Result - you may feel tingles all over your bodies largest organ - the skin. The skin is rejuvenated and refreshed, detoxified and feeling young again! (Often one looses weight too as the body eliminates unwanted excess). you are then massaged with a nourishing oil to complete the treatment.

 A relaxing, purifying and nourishing hour using a variety of natural NZ products.

Honey Detox

Try this amazing ancient method of using honey to help detox, extract toxins and exfoliate the skin - it is an amazing, unique experience, leaving the soul feeling very nourished from the medicinal properties of honey.  Honey is kneaded in to your back for a period of time, extracting toxins and exfoliating the skin during the process.  Once completed the back feels stimulated and warm.  A nourishing medicinal honey and mud mask is placed over the back to soothe and deeply nourish the skin and soul.  Completing with a back massage using delightful honey body creams.

$130 for 1.5 hrs

Counselling/Mind and Body intergration therapy

Sandra, the manager of Mac Retreat, is a qualified counsellor/body therapist, a member of New Zealand Association of Counsellors (MNZAC) and has worked in the field of human welfare and health for the past 30 years.  She aims to offer a service based on each client's unique needs, ensure a confidential space and a creative environment where people can safely acquire the skills and resources to reach their own potential.  She is currently studing Osteopathy full time, so hours of therapy will need to be discussed and negotiated.

$80 per hour

GIFT VOUCHERS – are available for all treatments and are valid up to 6 months to be used from the purchase date. This can be negotiated if required, please discuss with Mac Retreat.
